The traditional method for using Frankincense hojari is to burn over charcoals. However, you can also use safely on an oil burner. Place a piece of tin foil in the basin first, this prevents any mess and easier to remove.

In Oman, the locals regularly consume frankincense water. It is simple, place a large tear of frankincense in a glass of water, leave overnight, and drink first thing in the morning. It can also be chewed like gum, or used to make a frankincense tea.
