Boswellic acids are not water soluble, therefore cannot be extracted during the hydro distillation of frankincense resin for its essential oil. Boswellic Acids are an EXTRACT of Boswellia Serrata frankincense resin.

 I use 100% BOSWELLIA EXTRACT to prepare your Balm, adding Frankincense & Myrrh essential oils to enhance the scent and properties.
